Takes its name from the 10/40 Window, an area that lies between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator. It was identified by the missions strategist Luis Bush in 1990 as experiencing the greatest human suffering and least exposure to Christianity. The world’s poorest and the world’s unreached people, (ethnic groups without an indigenous, self-propagating Christian church movement) reside in this window.
Seeks to identify the unreached, and inform of their marginalisation. It believes that awareness will foster a response to engage with people in the 10/40 Window.
Identifies Matthew 9:37-38 as significant to the call, and sees prayer as a precondition to missions.
Recognises that while the call is binding upon all Christians, a rational division of labour exists where some are prompted to ‘go’ and some are prompted to ‘send’ as in the case of Paul and Barnabas and the local body of believers.
We meet once a quarter. You are cordially invited to join us.
